Hello, I’m Talya Nicolay. Former Global Design Manager at Virgin, busy mum-of-two and the proud founder of Kinderoo- a virtual interior design studio dedicated to bringing colour, creativity and imagination to spaces for children.
Kinderoo was born out of my love for
ACCESSIBLE, APPEALING and AFFORDABLE CHILDREN’S INTERIOR DESIGN.
Having spent many years designing interiors for the corporate sector, I’ve always known that a truly great space isn’t just about making a room look great. It’s about how it makes the person living in it feel.
After becoming a mum of two little girls, I knew I wanted them to feel safe, happy, and positive at every opportunity, in every environment. Feeling inspired, I made it my mission to bring playful, thoughtful interior design to spaces for children, all across the globe.
Kinderoo Children’s Interiors was born in 2020, and we’ve been removing the misconception that interior design is a stressful, unnecessary luxury ever since.
Fast forward to today, and we’re now a LEADING VIRTUAL INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO for commercial, private residential and corporate clients who want beautiful, functional spaces that children just love to be in.
Based in the UK but operating virtually, we’ve delivered thousands of warm, memorable and inviting spaces across the world to happy children, families and businesses alike.

From initial design concepts, to thinking about the way a space is going to be used, it’s our belief that great interior design can completely transform a child’s wellbeing, mood and overall happiness, especially in unfamiliar or clinical environments.
That’s why we focus on making a difference to how a child feels. We don’t just concentrate on making a space look beautiful; we want children and their families to feel good wherever we possibly can.

Kinderoo is incredibly proud to make wishes come true on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation for critically ill children.
We were chosen as a partner for the foundation and deliver beautiful, completely-tailored bedroom makeovers for seriously and terminally ill children.
